As a Specialty Pharmacy Insight Manager-Respiratory Biologics in Wilmington, DE, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. North American Commercial is the ‘face’ of AstraZeneca and MedImmune to our many healthcare clients. They represent many of the most well recognized and respected products in the industry, and build strong relationships with healthcare professionals.
AstraZeneca holds a unique position in respiratory disease, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), with a range of differentiated potential medicines in development by leveraging novel combinations, biologics and devices. The pipeline also has a number of promising assets in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases within areas such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, systemic lupus and rheumatoid arthritis
The core responsibilities of the Specialty Pharmacy Insight Manager – Respiratory Biologics are, first, to inform design and integration of specialty pharmacy data and traditional retail data for use in insight analyses. Once framework is built, regular responsibilities includes regular (weekly, bi-weekly) engagement of the brand leadership team to provide insight strategy/execution course correction based on observed vs. projected performance. This Respiratory biologics dedicated role requires a deep knowledge of specialty pharmacy data, its application and constraints.
In addition to strong technical skills, the individual needs to demonstrate strong business acumen in all segments of the business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for informing design and creation of data integration of specialty pharmacy and traditional retail data for use in insight analyses
Develop and manage Specialty Pharmacy KPIs
Engage brand leadership to provide insight on specialty pharmacy performance versus KPIs
Support forecasting team with data interpretation to ensure best possible view into future market activity
- Bachelors required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or other relevant discipline.
- 7+ years’ experience with healthcare and pharmaceutical data strategy
- 3+ years in the specialty market: preferably experience in managing, cleaning and/or analyzing specialty care data directly from Specialty Pharmacies
- Expertise in the reimbursement of specialty pharmaceuticals to guide decisions related to medical and pharmacy coverage.
- Experience using SAS, SPSS or other advanced analytic software
- Experience with launching a brand in healthcare a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers and strong consulting skills.
- Ability to build credibility and relationships with internal customers
Strong consulting and communication (oral/written) skills
